IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO MEMBERS:
At the May meeting, as has been the practice in the past, elections were held for officers to serve for one year. This year for, the first time, there were more than one person on the ballot for the president. In an effort to follow the plan of other organizations which have multiple candidates, and to publicize our great WEBsite, the plan was to delay announcement of the winners and put the results on the WEB. Thus, our secretary counted and notified the WEBmaster who posted them this past weekend.
Discussion by many members has revealed great distress at this method and I can only apologize to you all .... for there must be another election and the May results nullified. Since induction is held at the June meeting, the election will have to be held before the picnic, with induction after the meal. I deeply regret the confusion, but under the circumstances, I can think of no other way to resolve what appears to be a major error in the procedure.
